The Algarve has, among its 200 km of coast, some of the best and most beautiful beaches in the entire world. It is also one of Europe's top golfing destinations. It is a region rich in culture, with plenty of monuments to see, from Roman ruins to the fortress of Sagres (the nucleus of the Portuguese sea expansion), passing through a rich Islamic heritage, and a much diversified gastronomy.
Vilamoura is one of the largest single tourist complexes in Europe.
Among the many attractions and facilities there are five different Golf Courses, a large Marina, 5 Star and 4 Star Hotels, Tourist Apartments, self-catering Villas, Restaurants, Pubs, Night Clubs, an International and a Casino. Vilamoura is 20 km away from Faro International Airport and is connected by highway to all the major cities in Algarve, the South of Spain (45 mins drive) and to the rest of Portugal (Lisbon, the capital is 280 km away, about 3 hours drive).
The Congress Centre of Tivoli Marina Vilamoura is the largest congress centre, attached to a hotel, in Portugal. It has 17 meeting rooms, with capacity and conference facilities capable of hosting events up to 1,500 people.
