Scope

Due to the shortage of fossil fuel resources and to the increase of world energy demand, energy is one of the most important challenges that the world is facing. Regardless of the increasing use of renewable sources, and of the rates of fossil fuel resources decrease and of demand increase, the solution to the global energy problem will require to promote efficiency in all steps within the energy flow, from conversion from primary sources to secondary sources to consuming systems passing through storage, transmission and distribution systems. Control methodologies and technologies are key elements for improving systems efficiency, and as such, their use is spread through all the actors in this global energy realm. This conference, which is the first control conference specifically devoted to the theme of energy, invites control and automation contributions in the supplier area, in the consuming area, in storage transportation and distribution systems, and in co-, distributed- and micro-generation systems.
